Neighbourhood Watch London
Board
of
Directors

Join the
Neighbourhood Watch London Board of Directors and help us build
safer communities through crime prevention!
Vision and Values
Neighbourhood Watch London acts to increase awareness and involvement
of more of its citizens through the efforts of Neighbourhood Watch
London and its community partners, and strives to assist other places
in achieving these ends in their own communities.
What does Neighbourhood Watch do?
Basically, this is a program where neighbours unite and work together,
preventing crime by getting to know one another and becoming familiar
with their neighbourhood. If something out of the ordinary is
observed, the activity is reported to the police and then to the other
members of their Neighbourhood Watch group. It leads to a rejuvenation
of a community within a large city.
What is the boards role at Neighbourhood Watch?
The Neighbourhood Watch London board is a governing board, providing
policy and leadership to the organization and furthers the programs
effectiveness through cooperation with individuals, groups and
agencies involved with crime prevention and safe communities.
What will be expected of me as a board member?
Board members are expected to attend and actively participate in board
meetings (one meeting per month, on the third Tuesday of every month).
In addition, board members are expected to serve on at least one board
committee.
Ive never been on a board before. Is there training for me to get up
to speed?
Neighbourhood Watch London has established a mentoring program. You
will work with an experienced board member for a period of six months
to one year. During this time your mentor will partner with you and
personally assist in your development as an effective member of the
team.
What is the process for getting on the board?
Governing our organization is one of the most critical roles someone
can play at Neighbourhood Watch London. Thats why we recruit a pool
of potential candidates for every seat on the board. The process is
simple, by calling our office at 519-661-6442 we will send you an
